One to one lessons, with a teacher who knows what you are working on

Private coaching on guitar, piano or bass, shaped entirely around your playing, your songs and your week.

How lessons work

A simple shape, repeated weekly, is what turns intention into playing.

01

Thirty focused minutes

Every lesson is spent on your playing, not on talking about playing. Your teacher hears where you are, works on the one or two things that will move you forward, and plays alongside you.

02

A plan for the week

You leave each lesson with a short, written practice plan: what to play, how often, and what to listen for. Fifteen minutes a day on the right thing beats an hour on the wrong one.

03

Online or in person

The same lessons, the same teachers, the same plans. Come to the studio or learn from your own room, and switch between the two whenever your week demands it.

Ways to pay less

Regular lessons work best, so we make them easier to keep up.

Block bookings

Book more than four weeks of lessons in one go and the discount is applied to the whole block. It is our way of rewarding commitment, because steady weeks are what make players.

Siblings

When two or more children from the same family learn with us, every lesson is discounted. Music around the kitchen table tends to stick.

Program access

Coaching students get access to the matching instrument program at no extra cost, so the songs and exercises carry on between lessons.

Included with coaching

Where more than one discount applies, the larger one is used.

Choose your teacher

When you book, you pick the teacher you would like to learn with. Read their profiles, listen to how they play, and choose whoever feels right for you.

All of our teachers work to the same weekly schedule and share availability, so if your first choice is full, another teacher can usually take the same slot. You are never locked in either; you can switch teachers at any time.

Group sessions

If you would rather learn alongside others, small groups of three to five players at a similar stage work through the same songs together. Groups cost £12 per person per hour.

Cannot find a time that suits you

Schedules change from week to week. Tell us when you could make it, and we will get in touch as soon as something opens up. You will hear about new slots before they are listed publicly.

Questions

A standard lesson is thirty minutes. It is short on purpose: thirty focused minutes each week, with a clear plan in between, moves faster than an occasional long session. Longer lessons are available on request if you would prefer them.

Not at all, most of our students start from nothing. You will play real music in your first lesson, and everything is taught by ear at a pace set by you, not by a book.

Yes, children are very welcome. We generally start from age six, when attention spans and hands are ready for half an hour of focused playing. Younger children sometimes manage too; get in touch and we can talk it through.

Life happens. Give us at least 24 hours notice and we will simply move the lesson to another slot that week or carry it forward. Lessons missed without notice are charged, because your teacher’s time was held for you.

Yes, you will need something to practise on between lessons, even if it is a very basic one. It does not need to be expensive. If you are unsure what to buy, ask us first and we will point you at good value options.

Your teacher sends you a video call link before each lesson. You need your instrument, a phone or laptop with a camera, and a quiet corner. Everything else, the plan, the songs, the feedback, works exactly as it does in person.

The best time to start was years ago. The second best is this week.
