Bass Advanced

This tier is about playing live, where nothing goes quite as rehearsed.

You learn to follow an unrehearsed change without stopping, to shape dynamics across a whole set rather than one song, and to arrange your part around the other players so the band sounds like one thing rather than four.

Most of the work here is judgement rather than technique. Knowing when to play less, when to push, and when to simply hold a note is what makes a bass player someone the rest of the band wants back next week.
