About Course

Up to now you have been shown what to play. This tier teaches you to work it out on your own, which is the skill that separates someone who knows songs from someone who plays guitar.

You learn to find the key of a song by listening, to hear where a change is heading before it arrives, and to use a capo so you can match any singer without relearning the song. We also take on barre chords properly, slowly, and without the buzzing that makes most people abandon them.

Fingerpicking arrives here too, starting with one pattern applied to songs you already play. By the end of this tier you can hear something you like and begin finding it yourself.
